'Christmas robins' pattern

I made this pretty Christmas pattern in honour of the little robin who visits my garden every day. They do say that when a robin red breast constantly visits you or crosses your path, a loved one in heaven is trying to say 'hello! I'm with you!'. Such a lovely thought.

This pattern is for peyote with a twist - not crochet.

You will need experience of working peyote as well as the peyote with a twist technique. This relatively new technique was devised by Gerlinde Lenz and lends itself to many beautiful patterns.

With a circumference of 16 beads, I have made my bracelet, shown above, in size 15 Miyuki rocailles to show the detail, and it is approx. the width of a pencil. It is possible to make it in size 11s but the tube will be larger and could also be made as a flat peytwist bracelet. It has a double column seam.

Sprigs of holly surround these cute robins on a pale blue background and I have enhanced it with a sprinkle of silver beads to add that touch of sparkle.
